Now, more than ever, it is important for us as citizens of the UK to push the UAP/UFO topic into the mainstream, and into Westminster. For too long our Government has rubbished the phenomena and continue to deny any official involvement since the closure of the so-called "UFO Desk" in 2009. 

With recent developments in the USA showing signs of real and serious investigation and study of the phenomena, it's time for the UK to follow suit and work alongside their colleagues across the pond, particularly as the unknowns are something that could affect us all.

How can I help?

MPs only reply to their own constituents, and there are 650 of them. We need as many MPs contacted as possible, and their replies/correspondence recorded so that we can have a general overview of the popular opinion and also to have a database of those MPs who react positively and may be good targets for further development in the interest in this topic in the houses of Parliament.

To find out who your MP is, enter your postcode at https://members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP and their contact details will come up. We feel that e-mail is the best way to contact them as we then have a proper paper chain for replies. 

You can use our template letter below. Just add your MPs name, and then your name and address at the bottom. This is needed so that they can see that you are their constituent otherwise they will not reply. 

We are asking those who contact their MP to forward the emails onto us at ashufoidentified@outlook.com so that their replies can be recorded in our database (which will be made public). All personal identifying information will of course be deleted.

Dear  MP,

In recent months, the USA has taken ANOTHER big step in their serious approach to the UFO/UAP phenomena, including a striking quote from the Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, which concluded with "Is there something else that we simply do not understand that might come extra-terrestrially?"

This came barely a week after the Chief of NASA Bill Nelson, at a press conference, talked about the Pentagon having footage of UFOs, and that he believes there is life elsewhere in our universe. 

How can the UK Government continue to ignore this subject? 

The USA, amongst other countries, take this seriously from a possible threat point of view. They have said that there are intrusions into their airspace and that they don't know what they are or where they come from.

In an amendment to the National Defence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022, Senator Kristen Gillibrand proposed the creation of a permanent "UAP Office" which will develop procedures for reporting and analysing incidents involving UAP and the proper evaluation of such reports. This office would run alongside the 'Aerial and Transmedium Phenomenon Advisory Committee', made up of 20 members including NASA, The Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, the FAA, the National Academy of Medicine, and the American Institute of Astronautics and Aeronautics, amongst other similarly high calibre organisations. This bill, including the Gillibrand amendment, was signed into law by President Joe Biden in December 2021.

The word 'Transmedium' in the committee title is also important, as this refers to objects that have been seen to utilise both air and water as a means of travel, and an ability to switch from one to the other with no apparent difficulty.

Section C of the amendment mentions coordinating with allies of the USA to better assess the nature and extent of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. Surely this will include the UK.
