For the last few months the news on UFO/UAP’s has taken a backseat to the current news stories concerning the war in the Ukraine. However there have been some reports of sightings during this crisis that made me take a look at this and previous war time sightings of which there have been many.
One of the earliest war time sightings was reported In Nuremberg 1561, cylindrical and circular objects battling it out in the skies, records of it drawn and printed in the local paper. In WWI, it was reported that a German pilot in 1917, commonly known as the Red Baron not only saw a saucer type craft but actually shot it down, this apparently witnessed by another pilot. Unsurprisingly there is no pictorial evidence of the encounter and the story was pretty much dismissed appearing in snippets in articles about paranormal activity through the years very little details can be found.
Earlier still in WWI the report from New Zealand soldiers in 1915 reporting seeing multiple shapes they described as “bread shaped”. Depending on the baker could this be reminiscent of the current tic tac? Although the story gets stranger with them describing them as cloud like and British soldiers marching into the “cloud” then disappearing as the cloud rose. Abduction? Mass desertion? Or a cover story for something more sinister? We will never know. Even earlier was the report of a craft, as yet unidentified, over an airbase in Sheerness in 1912. This incident was later looked into under a directive from Churchill himself. This along with war time reports prompting meetings with the Americans and the subsequent withholding of information for the subsequent fifty years such were his fears.
Continuing with WWII reports and the infamous Foo Fighters, these sightings have been gone into and written about by many. One of my favourites is Graeme Rendalls’ UFOs Before Roswell: European Foo-Fighters 1940-1945, there is absolutely nothing new I could possibly add to these reports.
Other reports from WWII include sightings in Sweden in 1948. This is when things get tricky.
We all know Winston Churchill was more than a little interested in the UFO topic and most of also know of his instructions to cover it up, this the point that the powers that be decided it was “need to know” and we didn’t. All of this eventually leading up to the covering up and walls of secrecy around every UFO/UAP event since. I can’t help wondering how far along this road we would be if the men in power had just been open about it all, it would most certainly have resulted in a lot less ridicule for so many us.
We pop over then to the Korean war, in particular the time between 1951 and 1953, reports of a full battalion of American soldiers opening fire on a UFO and being attacked in return, this incidence has been recounted by many an article and tv show, however there were dozens of other reports and accounts, many of them detaining the now familiar saucer shape. Could it be coincidence or have the same species, visitors, whatever you prefer to call them, been visiting and watching during our times of conflict? If so, why?
Vietnam 1968, again cylindrical or circular objects reported by American airmen patrolling the demilitarized zone, there were many others reported crafts spotted, usually at night again with striking similarities to previous reports from other conflicts. A little more recent was the sightings during the Falklands war, many haven’t heard of them as they were mainly reported by the Argentinians of low flying craft moving slowly in 1892, (I have found a fascinating account by an Argentinian soldier that may be of interest to you dear reader, if so get in touch and I can email it or perhaps put it up on the site should a few ask for it). The Gulf, Afghanistan, countless accounts from Iran, although here they seem to be more interactive and typically close to nuclear sites.
This brings us back to the present. There are a few reports emerging of UFO interference within the battle for Ukraine, Tic Tac’s and discs being reported, soldiers claiming a UFO saved them in with what appeared to be lightning strikes. Is this the point when the visitors have decided enough is enough and they have to interfere to perhaps stop the onset of a world war? If so I personally think they may be a little too late or could it possibly be man-made? Experimental craft belonging to the western military that is so far ahead of anything we are aware of and therefore assumed to be UFO’s thus hiding limited western interference that is not allowed by NATO?
It could be I have just started another conspiracy theory… only time will tell.
