Hi all, sorry it’s been a while, kind of lost my way a little but I am back and energised, saying that, I was energised by a two day trip to visit my son. As most of you may know we, as a group, have varied interests ranging from Natalie and her cryptids, all of us into the paranormal, mine is equally UFO and paranormal, cryptids were not my thing… that was until this trip.
My son sent me a picture of a recent crop circle not too far from him in Salisbury, only a couple miles from Stonehenge. How could I not visit? Cuddles with the grandson and crop circles? Who could not. So off I go, pack the van and head south. As a rule I like to travel those distances through the night, empty roads and dark skies, fabulous. The journey went fine right up until I entered Wiltshire when I passed a tree on a lonely road, suddenly a cloud, yes I do mean a cloud, of moths flew from the tree right at the van, my brakes got tested, “hmm that’s weird” is what I thought after my initial outburst beginning with the words “what the…”. I calmed myself, muttering, stuck the van into gear and started again. Seemed fine until a strange large bright ball of light appeared in a field. It’s a big Army area so lights and trucks, tanks and general military stuff is common, I slowed the van, there was no beam coming from it, so ruling out headlights and big dragon torches I rolled to a stop for a better look. Handbrake on I turned to watch it turn blue and blink out. At this point I was more than confused, first the moths then the light and I admit I checked the time, I wanted to make sure there were none missing, so far so good, all was fine.
Continuing my journey I reached the point of being about a mile from Stonehenge, down a road with woodlands on both sides, full beams on again the brakes got a thorough testing, this time sending the contents of the van into the back of the front seats, leaving some rubber from my very sexy all terrain tyres on the tarmac. A thing bounded across the two lane road in three bounds, the description will live in my memory until death takes me. Larger than a dog but had the upper body of a slim dog, sort of like a greyhound, the legs were dog like but longer, I should say back legs. The front was a whole other story, they were not legs, they were arms, yes I said arms, dog like head but completely hairless. Like I said cryptids were never my thing but again “what the…” followed by a good few more and a quick reach to the button to lock my door before reminding myself “this is what we do….go look” but no sign could be seen.

Still running the image through my mind trying to make sense of it, some kind of weird dogman thing? Not even a mile later the van screeched to a halt for a third time, this time a fox, pretty common in the area and the probable reason for weird screams heard in the area, but I’ll get into that a little later. That was until it sat down in the middle of the road staring at me, between my headlights, tilting its head and in no hurry to move, it just sat there staring at me while I stared back, no idea for how long but I blasted the horn, nope no effect, so I did the unthinkable, I got out, it trotted into the woods, looking back before it entered. Now I have seen Disclosure Day, (I have my suspicions about Mr Spielberg but I’ll keep them to myself for now) instantly a voice in my head said “uh no, no f$*&ing way am I following that, nope, no way no how, move your arse”. Which I duly did, this time I did lock my door. When I finally arrived at my sons house I parked up and got in the back of my self converted camper, its not perfect but its mine and it takes me everywhere I want to go. I had left the group in Warrington at 10:30pm, clear roads should have taken 3 hours 40 minutes, should have been maybe 02:30 at the latest, nope, closer to 4am, I hadn’t been stopped that long surely but I must have taken longer looking for whatever the hell that other thing was than I thought, same with the fox. All in all an eventful trip that lead to me thinking about the whole area.
The orb of light, I have found, has been reported multiple times, at least one report from multiple people seeing the same thing at the same time on the road between Salisbury and Stonehenge itself, I cannot explain what I saw or where it went however I did make a mental note to check the area for further crop circles but to no avail. Some of the sightings I am sure are military in origin, may it be testing of new unknown to the public equipment or the angle of a spotlight making it seem to be an orb. The reports of travelling lights however I cannot explain.

There are numerous reports of ghost hitchhikers so solid people have pulled over to ask if they are ok only to find the space empty, some of the reports include descriptions of men wearing Army uniforms from previous eras, that kind of makes sense to me from a paranormal perspective, being the military in the area for as long as they have been.
Black dogs with glowing eyes, ghost dogs are among some of the sightings. The reason for their appearance depends on the local people you speak to, some don’t believe, others say it is a warning, some see it as a guide to the lost. However the words “hell hound” have also been mentioned in reports so I wouldn’t try to pet one.
Blood curdling screams have also been heard through the night in the area, most of which I suspect are foxes and barn owls which frequent the area.
A bigfoot or ape like creature has been reported, some by credible witnesses for example a tank commander. It was also spotted in the Grovely Woods area, this also being a reported area for the Fae, I visited the area while there as that was close to the crop circle location however the farmer had mowed it out. It is an eerily silent place that I really want to revisit with the team for an overnight investigation. I have previously voiced my opinion on Bigfoot in the UK and dismissed it for many many reasons, but this whole thing has me thinking about an alternative explanation

Stick with me here… What if…
What if these sightings of so called spirit creatures, cryptids like Bigfoot and whatever the hell I saw, weird hairless dogman thing are visiting from perhaps another dimension, interdimensional travel brought through the various henges in the area, the whole county is littered with them, perhaps there is one in Grovely Woods, and henges are portals through which the travel and , maybe in the case of Bigfoot, pop in and out as it suits. I cross referenced with some research I have been doing on skin walkers and dogmen and find some similarities. Pre internet reports of a dogman in the UK, all countries, the description matches, it also matched the description of pre internet sightings of a dogman in the Black Forest in Germany, the White forest in Poland, all seemingly seeing the same thing, what if it is the same thing, portal hopping, the areas they are seen tend to be near or around historic sites like Stonehenge, burial mounds, druid sites. There is a theory that ley lines play a part in the energy of the areas, it has also been theorised that ley lines and energy are the reason there is so many UFO sightings.
Whether for interest or refuelling, unless a Bigfoot stops for a chat or a UFO lands and its occupants pop out to have a word I don’t think we will ever know…
be fun to investigate though.
