Curious Case Files #4 – Lunchtime Abduction

October 6, 2026

By Natalie Pearce

We all count down the seconds until we have our lunch breaks at work. Even if we scoff our food at our desks, it’s a chance to refuel. So what would you do if during your lunch break you took a trip not just from your workplace but one that took you far into space?

In 1957, Luciano Galli was heading back to his workplace in Rome having stepped out to get some lunch away from the office. He noticed a car pull up as he was walking and observed its window going down. Leaning out of the Fiat 1100 was a man with jet back eyes who asked Luciano if he remembered him. He spoke in fluent Italian.

Shocked by the strange out of the blue happening, and before he had time to respond, his head was filled with memories flooding back showing him that he did indeed remember this odd-looking gent. His memory filled with meeting the man on the streets of Rome sometime in the past. Without thought or question, Galli got into the car with the man and drove to the outskirts of Rome. There they both boarded a large saucer-shaped UFO which then blasted off into the sky.

The craft they ascended in had an opening at the bottom which allowed the men to access it. A flash also occurred at this time and Galli was told by his companion he was having his photograph taken for identification purposes.

Galli recalls being taken into “base” where a massive mothership was and in which he was shown around by the strange but familiar man. He recalled that there were approximately 500 people milling around the base location moving in and out of the smaller crafts. Suddenly he was then back on the pavement outside of his workplace within the blink of an eye.

In 1962, a journalist was assigned to write a piece on the multiple UFO sightings that had happened in and around Rome in the late 50’s and early 60’s, which included the one involving Galli. He revealed to the journalist that he had been told that the ships had come from a base close to Venus. He confirmed that the story from 1957 was indeed factual and true despite the journalist’s obvious displeasure from being put on such a supposedly far-fetched story.

Galli went into more specific details of his encounter. He described the dark eyed man being dressed in a double buttoned suit with collar and tie. He also had a smart moustache.  The man who was driving the car never spoke and appeared to have a “light coloured costume” on. He went on to recall seeing this stranger several times in Rome, often when out walking. Whenever he made eye contact, the stranger disappeared from his view.

Galli detailed that he was very afraid at first when he entered the car, but as the journey went on and they arrived at the UFO a sense of calm came over him. He boarded the ship in his overalls he was wearing at the time. The other beings he came into contact with wore suit made of silky shiny material. He recalls them being exceptionally friendly towards him and he was aware of both male and females. His entire trip lasted just over three hours. Galli was never regressed and remained steadfast in his story of a lunch-hour abduction.

So next time you nip out for a sandwich or a coffee keep your eyes open. You never can tell who, or what, may be watching…..
